These are some ideas to help you get started in helping an elder engage in conversation in order to continue stimulating their mind.

When they reminisce but there is a part of their memory they aren’t remembering correctly? Try not to correct them, just go along with it.
When they ask the same question over and over again? Just answer the question, because telling them they already asked that, will make them feel bad about something they have no control over.
